June 11-13 Summer Celebration. Come and enjoy the first full weekend of summer with us. The "Frog Lady" will be holding craft projects for the kids on Saturday morning. Organized Archery on Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bingo for the family on Saturday night followed by the free hayrack ride for kids and adults alike.

July 2-5 Independence Weekend. Summer activities all weekend. Organized Archery on both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Beach games, bingo, driving range, Decorated GOLF CART AND HAYRACK PARADE, volleyball, etc. Also, the Dixon Petunia Festival is going on until the 4th.

July 23-25 Christmas in July. Special childrens activities, and maybe Santa will make an appearance! Organized Archery on Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Prizes for best decorated campsite.
We will also be conducting an Open Sand Volleyball tournament on Saturday (24th) for anyone 13 years of age and older. Get your team together (min. 6 players, max. 9 players per team), and sign up at the office (in person or via phone) no later than July 14th. This should be loads of fun with ribbons to the top three teams.

August 5-8 This weekend will be the Franklin Grove Festival - which is located on Route 38 just 9 miles north of us. Old time celebration. “How time was..” Rummage sales throughout the community which starts on Thursday. Live demonstrations. Plenty of activities for all ages!

August 12-15 Mendota Corn Festival just 12 miles down the road. Organized Archery on Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Stay here and enjoy what the City of Mendota has been doing for years. Like corn? Carnival? Music? You will enjoy this weekend.
August 20-22 Organized Archery oin Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Join us Saturday evening (21st) at the Activity Room for the 3rd Annual Mendota Hills SugarFest! Sugar Fest is our way of celebrating our cravings for sweets! For one night we put our diets asside and indulge ourselves in a Pot Luck Banquet of nothing but Desserts. Bring your Sweet Tooth and your favorite Dessert to the Pot Luck and your Dessert may win in the judging. We will also award a prize for the best Sugar Free confection. Even those who aren't lucky enough to win with their dessert, will win by getting to sample everyone else's. Mendota Hills will provide the milk, coffee, and juice. You provide your most decadent dessert. So come and indulge yourself this one night out of the year and help us celebrate our love for sweets. See some of last year's delectibles in the picture below. It was such a hit last season, we might have to move it outdoors...

August 26-29 Amboy Depot Days . Celebration of railroad heritage in Amboy. Arts & crafts, sidewalk sales, live entertainment and street dance, carnival rides, and the largest Car and Motorcycle show in Illinois. Located just 3 miles NW of us on Route 52. SEPTEMBER
September 3-6 Labor Day Weekend. Many activities scheduled throughout the holiday weekend including: bingo, horseshoe tournament, Bluegill tournament, beach games, and of course the Saturday night free hayrack rides for kids and adults alike. , Sunday pancake breakfast, Church Service to follow. Special edition Frog contest, Organized Archery on both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

September 17-19 Theme Weekend: Western Days. Prizes for best dressed appropriate Cowboy/Cowgirl attire.8th ANNUAL CHILI COOK OFF will be held Saturday night as we celebrate yet another fun time with food. Some like it hot, some like it mild. Regadrless of your tastes, everyone has their own favorite Chili recipe. Now is the time to show it off and see how it stacks up. No time to fix your own? OCTOBER
October 8-11 Columbus Day Weekend: Annual Harvest Fest. It is a time to celebrate and give thanks to our farmers. Last year one of our Seasonal campers gave a demonstration on the making of apple butter. Who knows what delicious or interesting item will be featured this year? The last long weekend for the kids. Trick or Treat on Saturday, a scavenger hunt, pumpkin carving contest, a spook walk in the woods for the strong of heart, along with a costume and site decorating contest round out the festivities.

October 15-17 Last Chance weekend. This is the final chance to get out and enjoy the fresh fall weather and beautiful foliage before retreating indoors for the long winter months. Following this weekend, we will be preparing the grounds for the winter months and shutting off the water throughout the park. As we did last year, we will try to keep the water and heat turned on in the washrooms/shower houses for those hearty souls who want to rustic camp during the winter months as weather permits.
